R. Levati Visitor Center

The ideal starting point to approach the Park, discover its historical-naturalistic features, and become aware of its activities and services is Renzo Levati Visitor Center. It is situated in an old country house called Podere Tesoro, one of the characteristic 19th century rural farmsteads scattered in our hills in the past. In a state of advanced decay, it has been entirely renovated: the works ended in 1984 and, while maintaining the existing architectural lines, have provided the structure with all the necessary services for its new function.
As a matter of fact, the Center offers an Exhibit Hall, a Congress Hall, the Surveillance Offices, and the Wildlife Service. It houses both Environmental Education activities dedicated to schools (toy libraries and didactic labs) and the welcome center for visitors, with a 24h multimedia info point. It also houses the offices of the Wildlife Resource Management School and the volunteers group. Moreover, it organizes courses, thematic exhibits, congresses, and video projections. There is also a sales point where visitors can find the maps of the Park trails, general and scientific publications, postcards, stickers, and slides of Boschi di Carrega.
Annexed to the building, there is a ''barchessa" used as a picnic area, with water point and a place to carry out outdoor didactic activities.
Moreover, near the Visitor Center it is possible to visit the medicinal plant garden, the birds garden, the meteorological station for the elaboration of the Park climatic data.
