It is situated in loc. Pontescodogna (Municipality of Collecchio) and lies within the Park. It is property of Regione Emilia-Romagna and has been managed by the Consortium  and then by Ducato Parks since 1996.
It covers an area of 17 hectares, 5 of which are dedicated to production structures and the remaining ones are covered with forests and meadows.
The production of plants for forestation activities and ornamental purposes aims at safeguarding the territory and preserving biodiversity. As a matter of fact, all the seeds used have certified origins: in this way, autochthonous species, local tree and shrub species, and ancient fruit varieties are cultivated and reproduced. The products are used by private citizens and public authorities to create gardens, carry out forestation and environmental recovery measures, naturalistic engineering, and street furniture.
The Forest Nursery manages an important composting station for the Municipalities of Collecchio, Felino, and Sala Baganza.
Lately, the Forest Nursery is becoming a lab for forest research activities and sustainable development, as well as an important reference point for the environmental education activities organized by the Park for adults and schools. The didactic hall, the ancient fruits catalog field, the cultivated fields, and the composting station are places where the labs and initiatives for adults and children are carried out.
Among the initiatives dedicated to adults, there are training courses for the management of green areas (fruit growing, pruning, grafting, gardening, etc.)

Opening times: Open by appointment only.
