Walk in the Park

In the Park there are more or less developed itineraries enabling visitors to touch the main localities and to admire the different naturalistic, geological, and historical-architectural features. The trails develop along the stream and some stretches run along the canyons dug by the erosive action of the watercourses, although this phenomenon causes continuous bank collapses and some stretches have been deviated along alternative itineraries. Along the trails you will find car parks with picnic areas nearby (in loc. Fidenza, Le Cascatelle, La Bocca, and Trabucchi) equipped with benches, tables, barbecues, and water points. Particularly interesting, not only from the geological perspective, are the itineraries of the Area Piacenziano, that allow visitors to discover the different zones (stations) which this Protected Area is made up of. They enable visitors to discover the "Piano Piacenziano", namely the period between 2,5 and 3,5 million years ago: a real jump back to the past!
