From Rocca di Sala Baganza (PR), pass La Rocca Golf Club and follow the road as far as Il Monte holiday farm. From here, a path runs through the scenic gullies to Torre del Boriano. Once past this locality, the paths develops entirely on paved roads, crossing the Baganza torrent between San Vitale and Poggio di Sant'Ilario and then climbing up to Strognano, the watershed between the Parma and Baganza Valleys. The path continues along the ridge and, bypassing the main peaks, leads to the junction with SP 61 at the Fragno Pass (849 m). About 5 km before the pass, at the path leading to Monte Sporno, there is a small bivouac.
