Medesano's small lakes

The area consists of lakes deriving from the mining activity, where habitats featuring species of conservation interest have been restored. The restoration works aimed at creating shallow water basins. Many typical plant species of the wetlands grew also thanks to experimental nurseries works. Along the area's perimeter a natural hedge has been planted in order to mitigate the effects of the surrounding human activities.
